My Tennis World
I have been playing tennis since I was 11 years old. I instantly loved the sport, the physicality of it and the social elements, plus it helps that I am very competitive. As a junior I played for Staffordshire before moving to Devon as a teenager.
Tennis took a bit of a back seat for a few years whilst I got my degree, began a career in television production and raised my family. Skills which are all now coming into use as I promote tennis.
Most recently as an adult I have embraced the Lawn Tennis Association's training, passing my level 3 core coaching qualification and taking on many CPD courses such as understanding disabilities, female athletes, young players and much more.
I love absorbing tennis coaching skills and expanding my knowledge of how to help players improve.
3 years ago I look a massive leap of faith and switched from a senior role as Head of Communications for the local council, to become the General Manager at the South Devon Tennis Centre.
Now I can work alongside an amazing coaching team, staff and volunteers to help tennis thrive in South Devon.
